Denison will be hosting the 4th Drive-in Conference of the Ohio Consortium of Men and Masculinities in Higher Education (OCMMHE) on Friday, April 6th from 10 AM - 3 PM. The OCMMHE is a gathering of faculty, staff, and students at Ohio colleges and universities who are currently engaging in or interested in engaging in work on masculinities in higher education. Over the last two years, conferences have been held at Miami University, The Ohio State University, and Ohio University across a wide variety of topics concerning men and men's engagement.
The theme of the conference is "Intimate Conversations and Mentoring Relationships" and will feature:
This is a free event, with lunch provided. Attendance is limited to first 65 registrants.
We will be accepting donations for St. Vincent Haven, a men’s shelter in the local area. One of Denison’s community service student organizations provides meals for the residents twice a month. The shelter staff have requested can goods and other easily heated up items. Ideas include ravioli, spaghetti, soup, and ramen noodles.
Use this location on Google maps to navigate. It will bring you to the parking garage. Visitor parking is on the P1 level, located directly to the left when entering the garage (before going through the gate). Once parked, proceed to the far end of the garage, to the double doors that lead into a building. This is Burton Morgan Hall, where the conference will take place.
