JAROSŁAW IGNASZAK (POLAND)
Jarosław Ignaszak, born 1976, is conductor of wind bands and also a teacher. Graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznań – specialization in Conducting Wind Bands. Since 2015 conductor of the Wind Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Kraków.Since 2004 artistic director of the “Wieniawa” Orchestra Former drum major of the Military Orchestra in Kraków. Member of the World Association of Symphonic Wind Band and Ensembles Originator of the artistic education program “Mała Wieniawa” based on the most modern methods of learning to play instruments.
Conducts lectures, workshops and webinars for brass bands and is the co-author of the textbook “How to Conduct a Brass Band” published by the Main Board of the OSP. Since 2011, he has regularly participated in master classes, workshops and conferences for brass band conductors, among others in Norway, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany. For his achievements and contribution to the development of brass bands he was honored with the “Meritorious for Polish Culture” decoration awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in 2012.
